Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s October 27 Express Entry results list 5,000 invitations in a French-language proficiency round, with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 407.

Ottawa applicants in the Express Entry pool can check their IRCC secure accounts for an invitation. This is a federal selection round, rather than an Ottawa-specific intake.

Eligibility requires an approved French test taken less than two years ago, with at least NCLC 7 in each of the four language abilities. Candidates must also qualify under the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class or Federal Skilled Trades Program and meet the round’s requirements.

For candidates tied at 407, IRCC lists a profile-submission tie-break of July 13, 2026, at 19:22 UTC.

An invitation allows a candidate to apply; it does not grant permanent residence. Invited candidates have 60 days to submit their application, and IRCC still assesses eligibility, accuracy and admissibility.
