Ottawa employers can now apply for Canada Summer Jobs 2027 funding. The federal applicant guide, updated October 27, 2026, lists an open application period ending December 3 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers and private businesses with 50 or fewer full-time employees across Canada. Subsidies can cover up to 100% of the provincial minimum wage for not-for-profits and up to 50% for public and private employers.

A new requirement generally calls for two years of operation by December 31, 2026. An exemption covers newer organizations that met their 2026 funding-agreement conditions and received reimbursement for at least one funded job.

Funded jobs must run between April 19 and August 28, 2027, normally for six to 16 consecutive weeks at 30–40 hours weekly.

Employers should check eligibility and local priorities before applying through the official guide. This is an employer funding intake, not a youth job application; previous funding does not guarantee approval.
