OC Transpo’s new Express Route 582 is scheduled to begin November 2, offering a peak-period connection between Craig Henry and Tunney’s Pasture.

The transit agency says buses will serve local stops between Craig Henry Drive/Knoxdale Road and Greenbank Road/Lisa Avenue, then run non-stop between Lisa Avenue and Tunney’s Pasture Station. The service complements Route 82.

Councillor Sean Devine’s ward-office newsletter, published October 27, lists two morning departures from Craig Henry Drive and Ivylea Street: 6:44 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. Afternoon departures from Tunney’s Pasture are listed for 3:38 p.m. and 4:48 p.m.

The connection gives riders along the shared section another option for reaching Tunney’s Pasture without Route 82’s additional stops. Travellers should check OC Transpo’s route schedules and alerts before their first trip, particularly if they normally board at a stop outside the new express route’s local section.
