Registration opened October 27 for a free Ottawa community forum on human rights and policing, scheduled for Thursday, December 3, 2026.

The Ottawa Police Service, Community Equity Council and Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution are organizing the 11th Annual Human Rights Learning Forum at St. Elias Banquet Centre, 750 Ridgewood Avenue. The program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; check-in opens at 7:45 a.m.

Organizers say discussions will address accountability, equity, community trust and putting human rights principles into practice. The event is open to the public, with advance registration requested to reserve a seat.

The registration form lists a hot lunch and an accessible venue. Attendees can indicate dietary restrictions, disability-related accommodations and whether they need English-to-French interpretation.

Residents can reach the registration form through the official event page. Questions can be directed to EDI@ottawapolice.ca or 613-236-1222, extension 2403.
