Flu and COVID-19 Vaccines Available at Ottawa Pharmacies as Respiratory Illness Season Begins
OTTAWA | November 2, 2026
Ottawa residents can access seasonal influenza and updated COVID-19 vaccines through participating pharmacies and health-care providers as the fall and winter respiratory illness season begins.
According to Ottawa Public Health, Ontario’s 2026–2027 vaccination program opened to the general population on October 26, following an earlier rollout for priority groups. Eligibility and the appropriate vaccine depend on age and individual health circumstances.
Vaccinations at participating pharmacies
Community pharmacies are among the locations offering seasonal vaccinations. Residents should contact a participating pharmacy to confirm vaccine availability, age eligibility, and whether an appointment is required. Vaccination may also be available through participating health-care providers.
Protection during respiratory illness season
Public health officials encourage eligible residents to stay current with recommended immunizations to reduce the risk of severe respiratory illness. Influenza and COVID-19 vaccines may generally be given during the same visit, depending on individual circumstances and clinical advice.
Finding a vaccination provider
Residents who need help accessing vaccination services can consult Ottawa Public Health for information about clinics and community supports. Pharmacy supply and appointment availability may vary.
