General eligibility for this season’s flu vaccine expands on Monday, October 26, Ottawa Public Health says. People aged six months and older who live, work or attend school in Ontario are now eligible.

For Ottawa residents, pharmacies are the main access point, while some primary care providers also offer vaccination. OPH asks residents to contact their pharmacy before visiting to confirm vaccine availability.

Additional options exist for people facing barriers to community vaccination. OPH’s appointment-based clinics serve eligible young children and their immediate households, newcomers without OHIP, and certain residents requiring medical or disability-related accommodations. Neighbourhood Health and Wellness Hubs also offer vaccination to eligible clients.

Residents needing accommodation information can call OPH at 613-580-6744. Booking details, eligibility criteria and hub locations are available through the official flu-vaccine page.
