Ottawa voters heading to the polls today should confirm their assigned voting location and review identification requirements before leaving home.

Voting Day for the 2026 Municipal Elections is Monday, October 26. Most voting places operate from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with different hours at certain long-term care facilities and retirement homes.

Electors can find their assigned location on their Voter Notification Letter or through the City’s voting information tools at ottawa.ca/vote.

Voters should bring acceptable identification showing their name and qualifying Ottawa address. Photo identification is not required. A Voter Notification Letter can help election staff locate a voter’s information, but it is not accepted as identification.

Eligible voters whose names are missing from the Voters’ List can add themselves at their voting place.

The City says all voting places are accessible. Residents requiring information about accessibility tools or voting assistance can contact the Elections Office at 613-580-2660.
